Shiny surfaces
Water and mirror reflections, for the floor or for a placed piece.
Reflections live in two places: the scene’s floor, and the flat tops of a placed piece. Together they cover ponds, ice rinks, mirrors, and puddles.
The Water floor
The floor’s switch lives on the World tab : open its Ground door and the Shine switch reads Matte | Water. Matte is ordinary ground. Water turns the whole floor into a moving reflecting pool: everything standing on it shows upside-down in the ripples.
Under the switch sits Waves (Calm | Wavy | Stormy). The row appears once the scene has painted water. The water surface moves: crests rise, and figs set to Bob ride them.
Shiny on one piece
Every placed copy has a Surface row on its organizer form . Tap the copy on the Figs tab to open it:
- Matte is the ordinary state.
- Mirror is glass-still: a dressing mirror, a marble tabletop, a frozen pond.
- Water moves: ripples cross the surface and the reflection wobbles with them.
- Screen turns the piece’s biggest flat face into a glowing screen, like a phone or a TV.
For a pond: sculpt a dip in a flat piece with In , place it, set its Surface to Water. The dip reflects the sky.
Two at a time
A scene allows two shiny pieces at a time. Reflections are expensive to draw, so pick your favorites and keep the rest matte.
Reflections show live on the stage and ride into every shot the Camera takes.
