Words

A flat sheet standing in a scene can say something. Speech bubbles, signs, a comic caption: paint the sheet, then give it its line. The Words row lives on the sheet copy’s organizer form . Tap the sheet on the Figs tab to open it.

Say it

Tap Add words, type up to 80 characters, pick an ink from the paint palette, and press Say it. The words float just off the sheet’s face, in the scene, in photos, everywhere. Take the words off clears them.

Words belong to the copy, not the source fig: three copies of one bubble can each say something different, and the fig on your library shelf never changes.

Types in: speeches take turns

With words on, the Types in row appears: Stays, 1st, 2nd, up to 6th. In Showtime, the numbered bubbles type themselves out one turn at a time, 1st first, then 2nd, so two figs can hold a conversation. Stays bubbles are always shown, no typing. Bubbles sharing a number type out together.

Making a talker

1. Stamp a flat sheet and paint it into a bubble (erase to see-through around the edge).
2. Place it beside a fig and angle it with the map ‘s Turn slider.
3. Add words, pick its turn, and press Showtime.

Words ride flat sheets only; solid figs cannot carry them. Save one bubble to your library and reuse it for every conversation.
