Cliffs and stairs
The Touch up door's Land tools raise terrain cell by cell. Stairs place themselves between levels.
Plopped landforms cover the big strokes. For terrain you place cell by cell, open the Touch up door on the World tab and find the Land group: the Cliff and Stairs brushes.
Cliff: land, one cell at a time
Drag the Cliff brush on the map and the ground rises under it. Paint the same spot again and it climbs another level, so a plateau, a ledge, or a terraced mountain is repeated strokes.
Two switches shape every cell you paint:
- Profile: Smooth for rolling hillsides, Blocky for stepped terraces, Rolling for soft hills, Facet for crisp low-poly slopes.
- Corners: Square, Cut, or Round.
Different cells can wear different profiles, and the land joins them together.
Stairs: the way up
Arm Stairs and tap beside higher land: the steps place themselves, climbing toward the taller neighbor. Chain them level to level for a full climb. Placed stairs read the land around them, so re-carving a cliff updates the climb.
Everything rides along
Figs standing on a cell you raise ride up with it, and anything dug in re-settles into the new ground. The Erase chip at the bottom of Touch up takes terrain back off, cell by cell.
Touch up is for single cells; Land is for whole landforms. Most worlds start with a plopped landform and finish with a few Cliff strokes.
