Animated skins
Flip a skin to Animated and paint pages. Playback flips through them, two per second.
An animated skin is paint that moves. Each page holds a complete paint job for the whole fig, and playback flips through them two per second. Blinking eyes, a flickering TV screen: anything painted can move.
Animated skins live inside Skins . Open Skins, tap a skin, and flip its Still · Animated switch to Animated. Page 2 appears as a copy of Page 1, and a pages row appears under the switch.
The pages row
The row reads Page 1, Page 2, and so on. Tap a page to edit it. Each new page starts as a copy of the current one, so you repaint only what changes. ▶ flips through the pages in the editor. ✕ drops a page. A skin holds up to 6 pages with Plus. Free keeps 2.
Onion skin
While you paint any page past the first, the page before shows as a faint ghost under your brush, so you can see where the eye was while you draw where it goes next. It happens on its own, and it wraps: on page 1 you see a ghost of the last page, because the loop comes back around.
Where it plays
Pages flip in Showtime , in scenes , and in the Camera ‘s captures. They run alongside pose animation , so a cat can wag its tail while its eyes blink.
A .glb export carries the current page’s picture only. Game engines do not flip textures on their own. The Roblox door is the exception: pages ride the .lowpoly file and flip in the game.
