Palettes
Picking and using color palettes.
Colors come in seven set palettes of 28 swatches each: Classic, Sweets, Forest, Ocean, Sunset, Retro game, and Inky.
Pick a palette under Colors in Paint’s Color card, or above the swatches in the Fill panel. Picking a palette changes all 28 swatches. The palette stays the same across tools, so Fill and Paint have the same colors.
The palettes
Classic is the default palette. Sweets has pinks and pastels. Forest has greens and browns. Ocean has blues and teals. Sunset has oranges, reds, and purples. Retro game has a small set of 8-bit style colors. Inky has grays and muted darks.
Each palette has exactly 28 swatches, so the grid of 28 stays the same when you switch.
See-through
In Paint, the See-through square (a checkerboard) comes before the color swatches. It isn’t a color. Selecting it sets every tool to paint see-through (erasing pixels). See Paint .
Switching palettes
Picking a new palette only changes the swatches. It doesn’t change pixels or fills you already made.
