Flatten a fig

Everywhere the app lets you pick a photo, it also offers your own figs, flattened: a shelf of your saved figs rendered flat as die-cut stickers. Pick one and it goes through the same steps as a photo, so a fig you built can be painted onto another fig, framed, warped, or stamped onto a page.

Where the shelf appears

Open the Photo workspace and your recent figs sit on their own shelf below the photo sources, each with its cutout thumbnail. In the Page maker , the figs door on the grab strip does the same: tap Your figs and the cutouts drop onto the page beside the photos.

They keep their edge

A flattened fig is not a screenshot in a rectangle. It keeps its die-cut edge, so only the fig lands, with no background behind it. Stamp one onto a face and the silhouette stays a silhouette. That is what makes it work as the label on a soda bottle or the mascot on a truck’s side.

What it is for

• Figs on figs: your cat fig becomes the logo painted on your van fig.
• Pattern sheets: put your whole cast as stickers on one sheet and print it.
• Pages: mix flattened figs with photos in the Page maker.

The flat render takes a moment the first time you tap a fig. After that it drops in like any picture, and every photo tool applies: cropping, warping , and pixelating .

The shelf shows your twelve most recent figs, minus the one you are editing. A fig cannot wear itself.
