Flatten a fig

The photo picker can use saved figs as flat 2D pictures. Selecting a fig treats it like any photo, so figs can be decals, framed pictures, or pieces of a pattern sheet.

Where the shelf appears

Open the photo picker from Photo in Paint or the Pattern studio . The Your figs: flattened shelf shows below the main buttons, with the sticker pictures of your saved figs. In Make a pattern sheet , Your figs adds each fig’s sticker cutout to the grab strip beside the other pictures.

The shelf shows the twelve figs you changed most recently, not counting the one that’s open.

The die-cut edge

Flattened figs stay see-through around their outline. Putting a flattened fig on a part stamps the picture and keeps the see-through edge.

The flat picture

Flattening takes a picture of the fig from the front, with perspective. The picture then goes to the usual Make it yours step, with framing, warping , and pixelating .

• Pattern sheets: Put several flattened figs on one sheet.
