Color Color phase

Magic cut

Tap a color in the photo and it vanishes. What you stamp is true see-through.

Magic cut lives on the Photo card , in its own section (close the Photo window when you want the whole canvas, and tap Photo at the top of the paint screen to bring it back). It cuts a whole color region out of the photo in one tap: the sky behind a toy, the table under a snack, the white around a drawing.

Press Cut away to arm the wand, then tap the photo. The color region under your finger is removed. Keep tapping until only the part you want is left.

The Magic cut section on the Photo card.
  • Picky | Normal | Grabby sets how close a match counts as “the same color”. Picky takes close matches only. Grabby sweeps in near colors too. Normal sits in the middle.
  • Bring it back un-cuts, one cut at a time.

True see-through

Cut parts stamp as real see-through. When you stamp the photo onto the model, the cut regions become actual holes, the same see-through pixels the Eraser ‘s See-through mode makes. A photographed leaf stamps as a leaf shape, not a leaf in a rectangle.

The holes travel: turn the photo into a pattern and the pattern keeps its holes wherever it goes.

Magic cut has a scene cousin: Magic tap in the photo scene ‘s Foreground editor grabs color regions the same way.
