Frames in a clip

A clip can wear a frame: one of your painted flat sheets riding the lens in front of the shot, the same idea as a scene’s Frame it . Rain streaks over the film, a comic border, a vignette for the sad part.

Adding a frame

Frame is a door on The whole clip . Tap it and pick one of your flat sheets. The frame covers the whole film: every cut plays behind the glass, and words draw over it.

One frame, one shape

A frame is made for one shot shape: 1:1, 4:5, 16:9, 9:16, or 3:2. The shot follows the frame, so putting a frame on sets the clip’s shape to match. Switching to another shape takes the frame off.

Make a frame… starts a blank sheet fig at the shape you pick. Paint it, and it comes back ready to wear.

What frames are for

• Weather: a rain sheet over the whole film.
• A mood: a soft vignette that reads as a memory.
