Words in a clip

Give a cut a line of text. Type it, pick how it reveals, pick its size.

Clips carry text: captions, dialogue, a title card. Words belong to a cut, behind the + Words chip on the cut’s row. They live on the clip, not in the scene, so the scene stays clean.

Adding words

Tap + Words on a cut’s row. The words editor opens and you type the line. The text shows on the shot live while you type, so you see it as it will play. The line plays for that cut’s hold.

  • A title card on cut 1, big, all at once.
  • Dialogue that types itself letter by letter while the camera holds.
  • A last-cut caption for the joke.
