Shoot your first clip

A clip is a short film shot in one of your scenes, one framed moment at a time. This is the same build as the First Clip card in the Learn tab.

1. Set the stage

Place a fig or two in a scene . Any piece can be in the clip: a fig, a door, a tumbleweed.

2. Open the camera

Tap the Camera tab, then Clip. The film strip opens under the scene.

3. New shot

Frame the shot and tap + New shot. The moment is added to the strip as the first shot, with its camera, poses, and light. Its card opens in the window with its Shot Length chip and camera Move.

4. Change something, then press New shot again

Move the camera or open a door, then tap + New shot again. With the Camera up, a drag moves only the camera, not a fig. To move a fig, tap Figs, move it, then tap Camera: it opens on Clip again with your shots kept. Then tap + New shot. Three or four shots make a film. Tap any shot on the strip to return to it. Its Shot Length and Move rows are on its card, and Save stage puts a changed stage into it.

5. Play it

Press Play on the strip. The whole clip plays from shot 1 as stop-motion.
