Today's downloads
Take daily pieces and track your sets.
The Today’s downloads shelf refreshes daily on the Today tab. It has three ready-made figs or patterns to take. Taking one adds it to your library . Pieces you take work just like your own, with full editing and remixing .
Cards show the preview, name, and kind (Fig or Pattern). Pieces in a set also show the set’s name.
The rotation
- Select Take it to claim the piece. The button changes to Yours, and a prompt offers a next step: ✦ Add to idea if the active project planner needs that kind, or Put it in a scene for figs.
- The day’s pieces are picked the first time you look and then stay the same. Claiming doesn’t pick new ones.
- Set pieces you don’t take go back into the pool. The shelf sub-header says: New ones tomorrow. A set piece you miss comes back later.
- The app favors pieces from sets you’ve started.
- Figs taken from here don’t count toward the free tier’s fig limit; claiming is never blocked.
Once you’ve taken every piece, the sub-header changes to Library up to date. New downloads will appear here.
Sets
Pieces often belong to a “set” (or kit): a group of pieces on one theme. Taking the first piece of a set starts tracking it. A progress card appears under the Your sets heading on the Today tab, showing how many you have (e.g., 2 of 6). Figs you take show in the Figs library under the Set pieces category, grouped by set name. Select the progress card for the set’s actions.
- For a set with no scene of its own, Interact opens a blank scene with the set’s pieces ready to place. Free tier accounts at the limit (3 scenes) get the Free tier limit reached. message.
- Sets that come with their own building get a matching scene file under the Sets category, named after the set and showing the set’s progress stamp on its card. Before the set is complete, the progress card shows Open its scene; the scene opens empty, and the list of pieces to place shows only the set’s pieces.
Taking the last piece of a set completes it and gives you star points . A [Set name]: set complete card says the points you got, with Interact and Later; when it closes, stars fly into your star point count with the set’s name. The progress card changes to Every piece collected with the points, and the main button changes to Interact. Star points for a set are given once per signed-in account. Sets finished while signed out are kept on the device and go to the next account that signs in on it.
You can download pieces you took again as many times as you like. Open the set progress card and select a piece’s stamp to add a copy to your library. Existing copies are never replaced; new copies are added. Download its scene again does the same for a set’s scene. This safe copying works like the community Remix.
Taking the first piece of any set shows a one-time guided tour on the home screen.
Daily prompt
The Daily prompt shows under the shelf. It is a building challenge that uses only today’s pieces.
