Teaching tools

Educator controls

The teacher-side controls: approving what goes live, managing a class, and what students can reach.

Everything teacher-side lives behind one door: the class desk. It opens from ⚙ Settings (or the class desk chip on the class box) and asks for the teacher password you set when you made the class . Students never see it and never need it.

The approval tray

Nothing goes live in the class box until you say so. Every student share lands in the tray first:

✓ Approve↩ Send back
The class desk. Shares wait here until you rule on them.
  • ✓ Approve puts the piece in the class box for the whole class.
  • ↩ Send back returns it to the student with a gentle status: tweak it and share again.
  • Your own shares go live instantly, no tray.

You can also take down anything already in the class box, straight from its card.

The roster

The Students section lists every seat: the student’s first name (your eyes only) and their minted username. Add a latecomer with + Seat, remove a seat with ✕. New seats get their username on the spot.

What students can reach

The boundaries are fixed, not fiddly. A class sees classmates’ approved work, Ünflat’s featured shelf, and the Learn cards. That is the whole list: no open community, no strangers, nothing to configure or forget.

Closing the class

Close the class at the bottom of the desk ends it. It asks twice, then wipes the seats and the class box from the device. Students’ own flatlings in their libraries are untouched.

One password, one tray, one roster. The desk is the entire admin surface, on purpose.
